Personal development program for people with varied abilities
BE ABLE program is individually tailored by Dr Evgenii Timofeev for each participant, meeting their respective needs, interests and capabilities.

Cornerstones of BE ABLE are General Fitness, Qigong, Taijiquan, Mental Development and Meditation.

General Fitness
General fitness module draws upon broad methods of various movement arts. Initially focusing on spinal mobility, freeing up joint ranges of motion and stretching tissues, this module helps to release stagnation and develop suppleness. Strength training further stabilises gains of mobility ensuring robustness of health and prevention of injuries
Opening and nourishing the spine, stretching tendons and muscles
Squats, hanging, push ups, pull ups, jumping and proper alignments for use of machines and free weights in a gym
Balancing, ball games, tactical games and floor work
Basic boxing drills: jab, cross, hook, uppercut, footwork, head movement
Total immersion swimming practice: body alignment, buoyancy, balance in the water, developing a freestyle stroke and more
Developing ‘listening’ and ‘release’ skills to fill the body with energy
Building lower abdominal field and ‘anchoring’ the breath
Learning ‘basic qigong’ exercises to promote healthy circulation of Qi;
Learning particular movement sequences for harmonization of elemental energies;
Aligning the body, developing correct standing posture
Cooperative partner drills to build strength and ability to deal with external forces.
Learning a short and graceful movement sequence of taijiquan form;
Taijiquan & Qigong
Taijiquan is internal martial art that applies a particula way of developing power. Whilst external martial arts use momentum and contraction of tissues, taijiquan is built on utilizing release of mass and absorption of mind through the body to generate energy and movement
Qigong is a system of static and moving exercises aimed at attentive guidance, rather than forceful control, of internal energy. Starting with refinement of breathing and building the anchoring field in a lower abdomen, qigong progresses to circulation of energy to open the channels, to nourish organs and, ultimately, to transform the mind.
Mental Development & Meditation
This is a broad category of practices aimed at governing mental functioning in a wholesome way. Focusing on developing such mental qualities as kindness, self-compassion, gratitude, sympathy and equanimity supports development of such skills as attentiveness, insight and concentration
Mindfulness of breathing and body contemplation
Opening and cultivating the ‘heart-field’
Insight practice: learning to see all mental-physical phenomena as they are
Calm abiding practice: learning to peacefully dwell 'inside'
Developing one-pointed focus on an object of concentration.
